Croydon Haunted Hollows began as a small home haunt in 1996, sparked by a simple mission… to bring the magic of Halloween back to a neighborhood that had lost its spirit. What started with a few props, a lot of creativity, and the support of family and friends has grown into a beloved community tradition that continues to evolve year after year.

As our haunt grew, so did our purpose.

In 2018, we proudly became the first in the country to introduce a sensory-friendly haunted walkthrough… a welcoming, low-stress experience designed for individuals with autism, sensory sensitivities, and anyone who may find traditional haunted attractions overwhelming. This groundbreaking approach allows guests to enjoy the sights, characters, and fun of Halloween in a way that feels safe, interactive, and empowering.

From that moment, the Mellow Monsters Initiative was born. Today, Croydon Haunted Hollows is leading the way in making Halloween more inclusive. Through Mellow Monsters, we are working to inspire and guide haunted attractions across the country to implement their own sensory-friendly hours… creating spaces where every child, every family, and every guest can experience the magic of Halloween without fear or barriers.
